Best:
Evans Rusike: 7/10
The Zimbabwean managed to hold his own against the Sundowns defence. He worked hard off the ball and popped up with a fine goal to win the game,
Lebohang Maboe: 6.5/10
Maboe was impressive for Maritzburg on the day. He linked up well with Rusike and also did well when tracking back.
Denis Weidlich: 7/10
Weidlich was a rock in the centre of the defence, as he did well to frustrate the Sundowns attackers throughout the match. He also picked up the Man of the Match award.
Thapelo Morena: 6.5/10
Morena continued to impress in the full-back role, and he was one of Sundowns' better players going forward.
Bevan Fransman: 7/10
Fransman was walking on thin ice after picking up an early yellow card, but the defender put in an impressive and composed showing for the rest of the game.
Fortune Makaringe: 6.5/10
Makaringe put in a solid shift in the middle of the park. He worked tirelesly up and down the pitch against the likes of Kekana and Vilakazi.
Worst:
Khama Billiat: 4/10
Not at his usual best on the day. He hardly ran at the Maritzburg defence and he also missed a good chance in the second half.
Yannick Zakri: 4/10
Zakri was anonnous in the first half and could create any chances from the flank.
Sibusiso Vilakazi: 4/10
Played in a more central role, but was very quiet and failed to offer anything going forward.
Percy Tau: 4/10
Similarly to the other Sundowns players mention above, Tau was not at his usual best and barely had any joy in the final third.
