Golden Arrows will be hopig to avoid a giant-killing act when they lock horns with minnows Vaal University of Technology Students in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Saturday afternoon.
The game is set to kickstart at 15h00.
Abafana Bes'thende were last in action last Saturday, where they narrowly defeated SuperSport United 1-0 in the league to claim their second victory in five matches.
Arrows have reached the semi-finals of this tournament twice in the last three seasons. In 2017, they were denied a place in the final by Orlando Pirates while last season they lost out on another final after losing 3-1 to eventual winners TS Galaxy.
Abafana Bes'thende have six players suspended for this tie, namely; Knox Mutizwa, Lerato Lamola, Matome Mathiane, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Ntsako Makhubela and Siyabonga Dube.
In contrast, VUT will be making their debut in the competition and are the only side from the fourth-tier to reach the last 32 this season.
They are campaigning in the Gauteng SAB Regional League and having nothing to lose, they will go all out to put their team on the map with the aim of stunning the top flight boys.
