Just two weeks after their league encounter, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United resume rivalry in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Saturday evening.
Before dealing with back-to-back CAF Champions League group stage encounters in the past two weekends, Sundowns claimed a 2-1 win over SuperSport in the Absa Premiership on 19 January 2020.
These two sides have already met three times this season, with the other two encounters coming in the two-legged MTN8 semi-final which SuperSport won 3-1 on aggregate.
Although, Kaitano Tembo's charges enter the encounter on the back of a 1-0 loss to Golden Arrows, leaving the side one point behind Sundowns in third spot.
SuperSport and Sundowns will both be hoping to improve on last season's showing after suffering first round defeats to Cape Town City and Chippa United respectively.
