Bahlabane Ba Ntwa have collected an impressive 13 points out of possible 15 in their last five matches since Dan Malesela took over and extended their winning streak to three matches after edging Swallows 1-0 on Saturday.
Gallants, as a result, moved up to 11th on the log with 17 points and will leapfrog the Citizens and get closer to the top eight if they win their fourth game in a row.
Eric Tinkler's charges, meanwhile, remained undefeated in their last four matches, although three of those games are draws after playing to a goalless stalemate against Baroka at this evening' stadium on Saturday.
City had goalkeeper Hugo Marques to thank for at least getting a point against Bakgaga after he saved a penalty by Richard Mbulu early in the second stanza.
The Cape Town side remain in tenth spot on the table with 18 points, just a point above Gallants and will get into the top eight if they win and AmaZulu lose against Chippa United.
