Sundowns extended their unbeaten run to 16 matches after beating Baroka 2-1 on Tuesday despite playing the second stanza with ten men after Kermit Erasmus was red-carded on the stroke of half-time.
The Brazilians, as a result, stretched their lead at the top of the log to 15 points with their fourth win in five matches and will be without Erasmus due to suspension.
The Buccaneers are struggling for form, as after beating TS Galaxy 2-0 they were held to a 1-1 draw by Swallows on Tuesday evening.
The Soweto giants sit third on the log with 24 points, one point behind rivals Kaizer Chiefs and will go up to second if they win.
Sundowns have won the last three league games between the sides, including a 2-0 win in the first round clash thanks to a brace by Peter Shalulile at Orlando Stadium in September.
