Teams: Chippa United v Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila
Date: 29 November 2020
Venue: Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will be eyeing a top-eight spot when they visit wounded Chippa United in the DStv Premiership on Sunday afternoon at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
TTM had a quiet start to the season but finally got their first win in the DStv Premiership after edging local rivals Baroka FC 1-0 thanks to a stoppage time winner by Justin Shonga last weekend.
Joel Masutha's charges jumped up to tenth on the log and they could leapfrog Bakgaga up to fifth on the log depending on the margin of victory, if they get their second win of the campaign.
In contrast, after winning their first game of the season, the Chilli Boys lost 2-0 to Stellenbosch FC last Saturday, with Junior Mendieta getting the opener in the first stanza before Nathan Sinkala killed off the game with the second goal in the last four minutes.
As a result, Lehlohonolo Seema's troops dropped down to 13th on the log but they could get into the top eight should they win by a healthy margin.
The last time the sides met Chippa beat Vhadau Vha Damani, who were campaigning in the GladAfrica Champioship 2-0 to book a spot in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup in February 2019 but this will be their first meeting in the DStv Premiership.
