Cape Town City will be looking to revive their DStv Premiership season when they host Swallows on Saturday evening at DHL Stadium.
Teams: Cape Town City v Swallows
Date: 18 December 2021
Venue: DHL Stadium
Time: 20h15
The Citizens have been struggling to break into the top eight, with their unbeaten run of five matches producing four draws, with the second consecutive point not yielding goals against Marumo Gallants on Tuesday.
Eric Tinkler's charges remained in tenth place, as a result, with 19 points, three points behind eighth-placed SuperSport United.
Swallows, on the other hand, look revived since the appointment of Dylan Kerr, who has not been able to sit on the bench due to work permit issues.
Since Kerr was confirmed as the new head coach, with Fani Madida standing in for him, the Birds have only only lost once in four matches and held Orlando Pirates to an entertaining 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
A point against Pirates took Swallows up to 13th on the log with 13 points, just one point above the relegation play-off spot held by Chippa United.
The sides will be rounding off their duels in the league this season after the first round clash did not produce goals at Dobsonville Stadium, although City did thrash Swallows 4-0 on aggregate in the MTN8 semi-final.
