CAF Confederation Cup Starting XI: Orlando Pirates v Royal Leopards 13 March 2022

CAF Confederation Cup Starting XI: Orlando Pirates v Royal Leopards 13 March 2022

Orlando Pirates will be targeting nothing less than three points when they face Eswatini outfit Royal Leopards in Sunday's Caf Confederation Cup Group B clash.

Teams: Orlando Pirates v Royal Leopards

Date: 13 March 2022

Venue: Orlando Stadium

Time: 18h00

The first leg of this tie back in February resulted in a massive 6-2 win for the Buccaneers, and after two disappointing defeats - to Kaizer Chiefs in the league and to Marumo Gallants in extra time to get knocked out of the Nedbank Cup - Sunday's match should be just what the doctor ordered to help Pirates get back on track.

The Buccaneers are hardly in the best of form, however, so they must be wary of taking their opponents lightly, while they will also have to do without key player Thembinkosi Lorch after he got injured during the Gallants match.

Pirates find themselves second in Group B of the CAF Confederation Cup at the halfway mark of the group stages, one point behind Libyan side Al-Ittihad, after two wins and a loss in their three matches so far.

Algeria side JS Saoura are in third place with four points and Leopards are last with zero points.

Another win on Sunday will put the Soweto giants in a very solid position as they chase qualification for the next round.

Pirates: Ofori, Shandu, Ndah, Nyauza, Mako, Monare, Mosele, Makaringe, Dlamini, Peprah, Hotto.

Subs: Mpontshane, Dzvukamanja, Makhubela, Lepasa, Maela, Sam, Mabaso, Makgaka, Jele
