Orlando Pirates will begin their journey in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round against Congolese side Diables Noirs on Friday afternoon in Brazzaville.

The Buccaneers got a bye in the first preliminary round and will be hoping to do better than the quarter-final appearance of last season, where they lost 5-1 on aggregate to Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.
Pirates' best run in the competition was in 2015 where they went all the way to the final but lost 2-1 on aggregate to Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel.
On the other side, Diables are back in the competition for the first time in eight years and as a result, they had to go through the first preliminary round.
The Black Devils edged past Burundian side Bumamuru 1-0 on aggregate in the opening round to setup a meeting with the Buccaneers.
