CAF Champions League
Teams: Horoya v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 10 April 2021
Venue: General Lansana Conte Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will be chasing a spot in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals when they visit Horoya in their final Group C clash on Saturday evening in Conakry.
The match is scheduled to start at 21h00.
Chiefs boosted their chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals for the first time after beating Wydad Casablanca 1-0 last weekend.
However, the encounter came at a cost for Amakhosi, as both goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi and Samir Nurkovic were sent off and will miss the clash against Horoya, while Leonardo Castro has also been left behind with a broken nose injury he sustained against Stellenbosch on Tuesday.
The Glamour Boys are level on eight points with second-placed Horoya, in third place in the group and need a score draw or victory to qualify.
Similarly, Horoya kept their hopes alive of qualifying for the knockout stages after edging Petro de Luanda 1-0 a week ago.
The Guinean side could qualify with a goalless draw, as they have a better goal difference over Chiefs while an outright win will also see them go through to the quarter-finals.
The sides played to a goalless draw in their first meeting at FNB Stadium in February this year, with Amakhosi having a goal scored by Nurkovic controversially ruled out for offside.
Here's how they line up:
Chiefs: Khune, Ngezana, Cardoso, Mathoho, Frosler, Blom, Manyama, Ngcobo, Parker, Mashiane, Billiat.
Subs: Bvuma, Mphahlele, Baccus, Kambole, Katsande, Sasman, Zuma.
