Mamelodi Sundowns can secure qualification for the knockout stages of the CAF Champions League when they host Sudanese giants Al-Hilal on Saturday.
Teams: Al Hilal v Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 19 March 2022
Venue: Al Hilal Stadium
Time: 15h00
Sundowns are top of Group A with ten points after four games, while Al-Ahly, Al-Hilal and Al-Merrikh are all on four points, meaning just a point would be enough for Sundowns to gain passage to the quarterfinals of Africa's biggest club competition.
The Brazilians are unbeaten in the group, beating Al-Hilal in the reverse fixture 1-0, drawing 0-0 with Al-Merrikh and defeating Al Ahly twice - both with a 1-0 scoreline.
In their first clash in the group stage, Downs beat Al Hilal with a solo goal from Themba Zwane at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Stadium.
However, the Sudanese side showed that they can cause upsets too as they held Ahly before beating Al-Merrikh.
