Teams: SuperSport United v Chippa United
Date: 24 January 2020
Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium
SuperSport United will be hoping to bounce back from the Tshwane derby defeat when they host Chippa United in the Absa Premiership at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday evening.
Matsatsantsa's title aspirations were dented after they lost 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns last Sunday, as Dean Furman's penalty proved not be enough.
Kaitano Tembo's charges drifted four points behind second-placed Sundowns in third place with 31 points from 19 matches.
On the other hand, the Chilli Boys extended their unbeaten run to three matches after holding Bloemfontein Celtic to a 1-1 draw thanks to an equaliser by William Twala from the penalty spot last Sunday.
Norman Mapeza's troops are placed tenth on the log, but they could grab a top-eight spot with victory in Tshwane this evening.
Chippa won the reverse tie 1-0 in the last match of 2019 courtesy of a decisive goal by Xolani Maholo in Port Elizabeth.
