Resurgent Chippa United will be gunning for top-eight spot when they host Maritzburg United in the Absa Premiership on Saturday evening at Sisa Dukashe Stadium.
The Chilli Boys got their campaign back on track with 2-1 victory over Black Leopards in Thohoyandou earlier this thanks to a 94th minute winner from Silas Maziya.
After ending the year 2019 on a five-game unbeaten run, Norman Mapeza's charges had a wake-up call with a 2-0 defeat against Polokwane City in the opening game of the new year.
Victory over Rise and Shine increased their points tally to 20 points in tenth place aand they could enter the top half of the table should they secue maximum points against Maritzburg.
However, the Port Elizabeth outfit will be without two key players, as William Twala and Boikanyo Komane miss out through suspension.
Meanwhile, the Team of Choice extended their unbeaten streak to five matches after they held SuperSport United to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday evening.
Maritzburg won the reverse fixture 1-0 in September last year courtesy of Thabiso Kutumela's goal at Harry Gwala Stadium.
