The Citizens have thrown themselves into the title race with back-to-back wins over Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns.

As a result, City sit third in the standings and victory this evening will see them move second, one point Sundowns.

However, it will not be an easy encounter for the Cape Town side as Polokwane head into the encounter unbeaten in their last five league matches.

Rise and Shine extended their unbeaten to five matches with a 2-0 victory over Golden Arrows last weekend thanks to goals from Mohammed Anas and Charlton Mashumba.

The Polokwane outfit occupy sixth spot in the league table and they could move as high as fourth with a win and Bidvest Wits lose to Bloemfontein Celtic.
