Teams: Bloemfontein Celtic v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 19 August 2020
Venue: Absa Tuks Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will have a chance to move nine points clear at the top of the Absa Premiership table when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday evening.
Amakhosi got their first win since the restart after coming back from two goals down to beat Polokwane City 3-2 this past Saturday to move six points clear of Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns failed to close the gap on Monday night after losing 3-2 to Cape Town City, which could see Ernst Middendorp's charges create some more distance with a win this evening.
Meanwhile, Siwelele will be searching for their first league win in the bio-bubble, although they restarted their campaign by thrashing Baroka FC 3-0 to book a spot in the Nedbank Cup final.
Celtic's last outing in the league ended in a 1-1 draw with SuperSport United this past Sunday, which left the Free State outfit in 11th spot, four points away from the top eight.
The first round meeting between the sides in December last year at Moses Mabhida Stadium produced a whopping eight goals, as Amakhosi came from behind to record a 5-3 victory, with Samir Nurkovic starring with a hat-trick.
