Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has dropped a massive bombshell on the future of star midfielder Gaston Sirino.
The Uruguayan's time at Chloorkop appears to have reached its end.
This after Mokwena revealed in an interview with PowerFM's Mmasekepe Matsebane that the 31-year-old has handed in a transfer request earlier this month.

While he did not reveal the name of the club that are keen on Sirino, Mokwena did hint that there had been talks between the midfielder an Al Ahly, who have been 'tapping him up' for the last few seasons.
"The Sirino one is very sad. First, it's important to say that Sirino has had the best pre-season I've seen since I came back to Mamelodi Sundowns. But there's a lot of things that are happening with Sirino in that space. You will recall a couple of seasons ago that there was a moment where he even showed publicly wearing a big rival's jersey at the stadium in front of our fans and you can remember how much our fans felt aggrieved and even the club felt aggrieved and disrespected - and rightfully so.
"It's a space that is so sensitive because this thing of tapping up players is a big thing, and this is the third time that Sirino has been tapped up and it's the same people that tapped him up a couple of times already a couple of seasons ago.

"It's very difficult. I have to manage the group dynamic carefully because it affects not only the team performance but also how your teammates perceive you, because you are very important, one of the best players in the squad and how the supporters perceive you because they love you.
"But of course, there is an understanding that no one is greater than the team. When you accept that you are part of a team then you must accept that you have to behave in a certain way that shows respect not only to the club, because you have got a contract, and this is a club that has honoured the contract and paid you on time. This club has matched its side of the contract and as a player you have the obligation to deliver your side of the contract.
" It's important that I speak about it, least I be seen as pushing the player out.
Asked if Sirino would remain at the club, Mokwena revealed that they are yet to receive an offer for the player.
"Well, it depends on whether the offer comes. He's told the club that he wants to go. He said to me that I must wait for an offer, this was three weeks ago. They haven't made an offer and that is why we are waiting because he said we must wait for an offer.
"Players that plays for Sundowns are players that want to play for Sundowns. We don't keep players that don't want to be here. we understand how privileged we are to represent the club, myself included. "
