For all he has achieved on the field with Sundowns, Mosimane had to get it right off the field - and he did.
According to the man affectionately known as 'Jingles' there are three players who stand out from his time at the Brazilians, all of whom were unsung heroes in their own right.
Denis Onyango, Themba Zwane and Ramahlwe Mphahlele, two of whom are still at the club, remain standout fixtures for Mosimane from his time at the club.
"Players that I will say that three that I'm happy that I've made that decision [to bring them back]. One is Denis Onyango. You know my history with Denis at SuperSport United. I found him when he was playing for his team in Uganda, and when I was at Bafana, think he left SuperSport United because that's where I brought him. I think he went to Mpumalanga Black Aces. When I came to Sundowns, I said, 'Where's Denis? They said, 'no he's on loan. I said, 'bring him back, I need Denis in the team'," he told the Siya crew.
"I asked 'where's Rama?' They said, 'he is at Tuks, you can't let him come back'. And I saw the last three games of Rama at Tuks and I said, 'please he's our player let him come back!'
"Clive Barker was making a lot of noise about Themba Zwane. I did not know Themba that well. I said, 'the legendary Clive, the only person who's won the Cup of Nations in South Africa. He's speaking well about Themba, saying he's the next Doctor Khumalo'. I said 'Clive is speaking so highly of him', I looked and I said, 'no he must be here'," he added.
