Mamelodi Sundowns players, defender Khuliso Mudau and midfielder Teboho Mokoena, have missed important games under coach Manqoba Mngqithi, and with the club performing well, questions have been asked on what's happening behind the scenes.
Answering a question during the joint press conference with Kaizer Chiefs ahead of their Betway Premiership encounter on Saturday, Mngqithi stated that Sundowns are full of big-name players, and that competition is high in the team.

Mngqithi said that, like in all other games that the team has played, Mudau and Mokoena are in line for team selection just like any other player in their side.
"I think Sundowns have a lot of big players. All the big players are playing and I am happy with what they have offered so far. They are always part of the selection process. There is no match where they were not part of the selection process. We just have to make these decisions at times. They are there. They are competing. They are fit and anything can happen going into the Chiefs game," Mngqithi responded regarding Mudau and Mokoena.
Talking about the game against Chiefs, the coach said it's not strange that it has come so early in the season, as fixtures have been made like this in the past five seasons or so.

"To be honest with you, maybe for the past five seasons now, I think we are playing this match as the second or third match but it's always in the first five matches. And I think that has been a little bit obvious. I think it's the second or third match in the last five seasons now. But it's nice to play such matches with a team that is motivated and believes it can get something out of it as well. It's good for the supporters as well, as they enjoy the game," Mngqithi observed.
Chiefs and the Brazilians meet on Saturday, at FNB Stadium from 15:00.
