With Mamelodi Sundowns finalising preparations for the start of their 2024/25 season this weekend, all eyes will be on the champions to see how they will do post the Rulani Mokwena era after the tactician parted ways with the club at the end of last season.

Manqoba Mngqithi is in charge for the Brazilians and has Steve Komphela and Romain Folz among others working with him in the technical team.
Downs will get the new campaign underway with a match against Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-finals at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday, and defender Mosa Lebusa has spoken about the changes in the technical team.
"With coach Rulani we had a relationship with him as players, he was a good coach, and he was like a brother to us. But you know in football, coaches come and go, and players come and go, but the club remains. We're here at Sundowns and we have a new leader in coach Manqoba. When he first took over, we didn't really change much but we added a few things into our game model, and so far, it's been working in our pre-season and you'll see from our results how competent we are as we go forward," said Lebusa, speaking to journalists during Sundowns media day in Chloorkop on Thursday.

"Not to take anything away from coach Rulani, he did an amazing job with the team, and we'll always have respect for him, but right now I think coach Manqoba is in charge and we support him fully. I think he will take the team forward," the centre-back, who is one of the long-serving players at the Chloorkop outfit added.
