Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe has revealed that new signing Sipho Mbule is working hard at Chloorkop while the rest of the team is currently on holiday, which shows how the player is determined to adopt the culture at Chloorkop.
Mbule, who was suspended by his former club SuperSport United last season, was unveiled as a new signing for the DStv Premiership champions ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. The culture at Sundowns is quite different and players who are not able to adapt don't always make it at the club.
"I can say right now that Sipho Mbule is here. He is training while the rest of the team is taking a well-deserved break. I think already his mentality is saying that he wants to make a good impression on his teammates and on the coaches. His mind is already looking in that direction. But it's not the chairman job to get a player to think in a certain way or to take the club seriously. I think it starts with the player, but we have also have an incredible group of senior players, like Denis Onyango and Kennedy Mweene, who have seen the players come in and have held on to this culture," Mbule told media during the launch of the club's Internship Program.
"I think a great example of a player who has adopted this incredible culture and is a shining light is Andile Jali. Look at how he has performed this season and how, prior to his arrival, maybe there were a few statements about where he would end up and how he would survive."
