A former Mamelodi Sundowns youngster has signed with a club abroad in the hopes of resurrecting his career after months of being in the football wilderness.
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that Sundowns youth product Xolani Mdaki jetted out of Mzansi to attend trials in Kuwait.
The player's representative Kenneth Yamongbe has confirmed to the Siya crew that Mdaki has signed with Besa Peje FC in Kosovo's second tier league.
"Xolani Mdaki has signed with Besa Peje FC in the second division in Kosovo. He was successful during his trial and the club is happy with his performance. He has penned a six-month deal with an option to renew," confirmed Yamongbe.
"Head of scout and technical director of the club Fetim Kasapi is very happy with the signing and believes that Xolani will bring value to the club. The chairman of the club Mr Dritero Daci said he believes that Xolani is a great addition to the team," added the representative.
"We had an issue with his clearance because his last club in Jordan was dismantled and doesn't exist anymore, but the club (Besa Peje) has made all necessary effort together with us to secure the player's signature and clearance. I and my partner Lebohang 'Guluva' Mashishi of B N International Sports Agency are thankful to the club for giving Xolani an opportunity to revive his career," concluded Yamongbe.
