Mamelodi Sundowns, as well as AmaZulu, have discovered their CAF Champions League group stages opponents following the draw conducted in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday.
The two clubs had been waiting patiently since qualifying for this phase of the competition in November to have their rivals revealed.
Sundowns, the winners of the 2016 edition, have been drawn in Group A alongside Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly of Egypt and two Sudanese sides in Al Hilal and Al Merrikh SC – a tough draw where Ahly knocked Downs out of the quarterfinals last year and then went on to beat Kaizer Chiefs in the final.
It's coach Benni McCarthy's biggest challenge yet in the Champions League, and AmaZulu take on Raja Casablanca, Horoya and ES Setif.
