Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to have paid in the region of R10 million for Jeremy Brockie, who has since fallen out of favour at the club and Soccer Laduma takes a look at five other players that the Brazilians paid big money for over the past few seasons and how they have contributed to the team.

Jeremy Brockie:
Negotiations for Brockie's move to Sundowns dragged out for several months until finally the player's transfer was concluded in January last year. At the time, Siya sources suggested that Masandawana paid in the region of R10 million to land the player's signature from SuperSport United.
In the second half of last season, Brockie made 15 appearances in all competitions for Sundowns.
However, this season, the player has since spent the past seven league clashes watching from the stands, having made just 15 appearances all together so far this season and is now being linked with an exit.
Khama Billiat (now at Kaizer Chiefs):
Billiat experienced his best footballing years with the Brazilians, after making the move to Sundowns from Ajax Cape Town in 2013. At the time, Siya sources indicated that the Chloorkop-based club paid around R9 million for the Zimbabwean international.
Billiat made 140 appearances for the Brazilians in all competitions, scoring 47 goals, playing a crucial part in the team winning three Absa Premiership titles, the CAF Champions League, the Nedbank Cup trophy, the CAF Super Cup and the Telkom Knockout trophy.
Sibusiso 'Vila' Vilakazi:
Vilakazi's move to Sundowns from Bidvest Wits was another on-going saga, until eventually the player put pen to paper on a contract with the Brazilians in July 2016.
At the time Siya sources revealed that Vila's move to Sundowns costed the Brazilians around R10 million.
The player has made 71 appearances for Sundonws in all competitions so far, and when fit, was integral to their 2017/18 league winning campaign as well as they challenge in the CAF Champions League competition.
Aubrey Ngoma:
Ngoma has also been struggling for game-time with Sundowns since joining from Cape Town City last year, January, with the player making just 10 appearances for the Brazilians in the past season and a half.
Siya sources have indicated in the past that Sundowns are believed to have paid in the region of R8 million for the player's services.
Thapelo Morena:
Morena has established himself as a key player for the Brazilians since joining from Bloemfontein Celtic in August 2016.
Morena has made 54 appearances for Sundowns, having consistently been making his way in to head coach Pitso Mosimane's starting line-ups when fit.
The player has won the 2017/18 Absa Premiership title with Sundowns as well as the CAF Super Cup in 2017.
At the time of his move to Sundowns, Siya sources indicated that the Brazilians paid in the region of R5m for Morena.
