A former Mamelodi Sundowns star has called for the club to re-appoint Pitso Mosimane as head coach in their pursuit of CAF Champions League glory.
The Brazilians reached their second Champions League this season but lost 3-1 on aggregate to Egyptian outfit Pyramids a couple weeks ago.

Sundowns' only Champions League title came under Mosimane's management back in 2016.
Since the 2016 triumph, Sundowns have failed to reclaim Africa's biggest trophy, with Rulani Mokwena and now Miguel Cardoso failing to get over the line.
Former Sundowns attacker Anthony Laffor believes Mosimane is the 'only coach' who knows how to get Sundowns to the pinnacle of African football.
"Coach Pitso Mosimane, only if you could get a chance to take over our beloved club Sundowns, next season Champions League is sure. Let us put football politics aside," Laffor said on his official Instagram account.
"It’s about that time Pitso Mosimane comes back home.
"Only he knows how to coach Sundowns. I've been there, I know exactly what I’m talking about."
Mosimane is currently without a club after parting ways with Iran outfit Esteghlal FC earlier in the year.
