With their trophy drought now stretching eight years, it is little wonder that Chiefs fans are keen on their squad adding reinforcements.

Chiefs have been actively strengthening their squad with Given Msimango, Thatayaone Dithlokwe and Mduduzi Mdantsane said to be making their way to Naturena next season.

Despite the three new faces expected in the club next year, there are still a few more players who fans would like to see don the famous black and gold.

The Siya crew spoke to popular Machaka who revealed his wish list for Chiefs.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA - OCTOBER 29: Andile Jali of

Andile Jali:I would take the experience of Andile Jali because he is not playing there at [Mamelodi] Sundowns. He's got a place there at Kaizer Chiefs especially in the middle of the park where he will be controlling the defence, because he can assist defensively. We need a player of Jali's calibre to be there to stabilize the midfield and to guide the players like [Mduduzi] Shabalala, and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo because he is injured. We need a player who can hold the ball because these days you even find us making mistakes, especially at the back. We don't know how to build from the back. This thing needs to be practiced at Naturena and not on the day of the game because we are exposing ourselves. So Jali can come in and show us how, and even teach these senior guys like Dove Edmilson, [Zitha] Kwinika, and [Siyabonga Ngezana] to build going forward.

STELLENBOSCH, SOUTH AFRICA - MARCH 05: Junior Mend

Junior Mendieta:

We must bring him to the club even if he is still contracted to Stellenbosch. We need those kinds of players at the Glamour Boys. He can score goals, he creates, and he knows how to hold the ball. Here we will not be signing just for the sake of it – no. We will sign because of the performance of the player and how he will fit into our system in terms of defence, assists and even scoring goals. He can do that for us.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA - APRIL 09: Junior Leandro MePOLOKWANE, SOUTH AFRICA - APRIL 12: Ranga Chivavir

Ranga Chivaviro:

The last one is a problem because we need someone who can accommodate Du Preez upfront. The players who are playing there in [Christian] Saile and Caleb [Bimenyimana] they are not giving us what we are expecting from them, even though it's still early for Saile. He likes running with the ball but I'm yet to see his contribution and his combination, especially with Du Preez. If we can find a target man like Chivaviro who scored against us. He creates goals for himself and Marumo Gallants could even avoid relegation because of the goals that he is scoring.

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - APRIL 08: Edmilson Do
