Njabulo Ngcobo Hoping Supporters In KZN Can Inspire Kaizer Chiefs To Victory Against Golden Arrows

Njabulo Ngcobo Hoping Supporters In KZN Can Inspire Kaizer Chiefs To Victory Against Golden Arrows

Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo is banking on Amakhosi's massive support in KZN to overcome Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.

The Soweto giants suffered defeat to Stellenbosch FC over the weekend, just a few days after confirming the departure of head coach Stuart Baxter. With the Premiership title way out of reach, Amakhosi are now just playing to finish in one of the CAF spots, as interim coach Arthur Zwane recently expressed the club's desire to conquer Africa.

With six matches to go, fourth-placed Amakhosi have to quickly put that defeat to Stellies behind them and pick up points to qualify to play continental football next season.

"We want to thank supporters for supporting us. It was my first time to see the way people love this team in the stadium. At Stellenbosch, I think we did well. It's just those few mistakes and then they punished us. I think going forward, especially when we go to Durban, we need to make sure we don't do the same thing. In Durban, Chiefs is a big team. Everyone loves this team, so I believe we will get maximum points," the former Swallows FC defender said via the Amakhosi media department.

The Soweto giants visit Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday. This is the clash Amakhosi did not honour in December due to the Covid-19 outbreak at Naturena and they are now playing the match after arbitrator Nazeer Cassim ruled in their favour.
