Nabi: I Must Clarify The Situation

Nasreddine Nabi has been taken to the Moroccan top flight's Ethics Committee by league title rivals Raja Athletic Club.

Incoming Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has penned a heartfelt tribute to his former club AS FAR, as his switch to Amakhosi draws closer.

Having spent the 2023/24 season with the Moroccan giants and coming within touching distance of not one, but two trophies this season, Nabi has bid an official farewell to the club.

The coach is expected to meet up with the Kaizer Chiefs squad that will be jetting out to Turkey on Thursday, where he will begin his tenure as the club's new head coach.

"Out of respect for all the support you have given me, I must clarify the situation. It is with mixed feelings that I announce my journey as coach of AS FAR has come to an end. After a difficult season of hard work and intense moments shared together, it is time for me to say goodbye.

I want to express my deep gratitude to all the supporters who have been a constant source of motivation and support. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and passion for the club have been incredibly valuable throughout my time here. Know that I gave my all, despite the constraints, along with the technical staff and players, for this great club to finish the season with a title. The reality on the field decided otherwise, and as hard as it may be, we must accept it.

To the players, the technical staff, and the entire administrative team, thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and commitment. I thank General Haramou for his support, especially during difficult times, as well as President Mr. Ayoubi and Colonel Major Mr. Malek for the trust they placed in me.

I leave with memories and a deep affection for the club and its supporters. I am convinced that AS FAR will continue to grow, and the club will remain in my heart.

Finally, I thank the Moroccan people for their hospitality and respect. No matter the city, I have always been well received and respected, and I thank you for that.

As a man of principle, I fear God. Out of respect for the supporters, I will not restrict the comments. I understand that some fans may take this news badly and may turn to insults, but know that I leave with deep respect towards all of you. This is my only statement on the subject, and therefore, The Statements Seen In The Media Are False," he wrote on his official Instagram page.
