During a media open day at the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena, Johannesburg, Nabi revealed that midfielder Nkosingiphile "Mshini" Ngcobo has suffered a new injury. Although the Tunisian-born coach did not elaborate on the nature of the injury, he mentioned that Ngcobo picked it up during training and is being monitored by the team doctors.
"Yes, we have one injured player. It's Mshini (Nkonsingiphile Ngcobo). He got injured at training and the team doctors are still working with him. And due to the results of the tests it is unlikely that he will play these games in Polokwane," Nabi told the media.
"But the good news is that some of the players who were out injured are back now. We have Mdu (Mduduzi Mdantsane) and George (George Matlou). So, we will see what we will do as a team as we go into these games. But, yes, Mshini is injured," Nabi confirmed.

After a long absence, Ngcobo finally returned to action during the FIFA break as Chiefs lifted the Home of Legends Cup, where he scored a goal against Golden Arrows in the semi-finals last weekend. The Glamour Boys then went on to lift the trophy by beating Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
Meanwhile, Edmilson Dove is still undergoing rehabilitation after an injury sustained during the pre-season camp in Turkey, but Amakhosi will be relieved that Mdantsane and Matlou have recovered from their respective injuries and are ready for selection.
