Now that his contract situation has been resolved, Kaizer Chiefs could unleash Mfundo 'OB' Vilakazi on Chippa United this weekend.
As reported the Siya crew in edition 1257, Chiefs managed to fend off serious interest from Sekhukhune United who were keen on the teenager, however, Amakhosi managed to hold onto the left-footed sensation.
Siya sources have confirmed that the player has penned a DStv Diski Challenge contract with the Glamour Boys.
Now, the latest news reaching the crew is that Vilakazi has already started training with his new teammates and is available for selection for coach Vela Khumalo's side when they take on Chippa United this Sunday.
"The boy is so happy that he has finally signed. I think psychologically it's a boost for him that his contract situation has now been resolved so that he can focus on school and football. He has been doing some extra training on his own trying to show that he can make it. Hopefully his chance will come on Sunday," Siya sources privy to the situation informed the crew.
Chiefs are currently lingering in 10th position on the DStv Diski Challenge standings with 13 matches played and now the 16-year-old will be hoping to make an immediate impact after what has been a busy festive season for him.
