Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane faces an uncertain future at the club following a difficult first season since returning from Cape Town City.
The former Bafana Bafana player, who began his youth career with Chiefs, struggled to make a significant impact, featuring in only 12 games without scoring a goal.

His season was further complicated by a disciplinary issue related to reportedly arriving at training under the influence of alcohol.
Siya sources close to Naturena have indicated that Chiefs are considering loaning out Mdantsane, but the decision will ultimately rest with the arrival of a new head coach.
"As of now things are not looking good for him. All signs are that he could be loaned out next season. The thing is he still has a contract until June 2026 so they can't just release him like that because it will cost the team," said the Siya source.
"But they will also wait for the new coach to look at all the players before making the final decision. So, it may take the whole preseason training and camp before he knows his future. But for now, it hangs in the balance," a source revealed to Soccer Laduma.
The disciplinary hearing following the alcohol-related incident has also played a role in the current situation, according to a second Siya source.
"That cost him a lot. Yes, it's over but it dented his game time and they have also to consider that right now. But the main problem is the new coach who can solve everything. I don't think it's only Mdu (Mdantsane) but other players as well who have to prove themselves to whoever will be the coach during the preseason camp. That's where futures will be decided as things stand right now," the second source stated.
The 29-year-old's performances this season, failing to score in any of the 13 games he played, has raised questions about his role and contribution to the team. As Chiefs prepare for the upcoming season, the club and Mdantsane await the decision of the new coach, which will significantly influence his career trajectory.
Soccer Laduma reached out to Kaizer Chiefs for comment, but no response was received by the time this story was published.
