Chiefs’ Matlou Leaves Future to Faith

Chiefs’ Matlou Leaves Future to Faith
Kaizer Chiefs have not yet indicated whether they will renew the contract of one of the club's midfielders, whose deal is understood to be coming to end on 30 June.
Despite the lack of discussion, George Matlou has said that he is not worried about his contract.
Addressing journalists during a media open day this week at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, Matlou said he is a praying person and he is leaving everything in God's hands.
"My contract is coming to an end, it's coming to an end but i'm going to leave that of course to God as I said, because I am one person who grew up in church. I'll give everything to God and of course most definitely to the technical team, to everyone, the board and staff, to give me the opportunity. But it's football, so I'm not going to plan for the future now," Matlou told journalists.
The former Swallows FC midfielder further added that he is not a person who talks to his agent about his contract and future while the season is still on.
"No. I don't talk to my agent while I am still playing. I don't talk to him during the season. My main focus is on the season and after that we can think of my future and see what God has in store for me," Matlou concluded.
