By finishing 10th on the DStv Premiership standings, Kaizer Chiefs have slumped to their worst ever season in the PSL era.
Amakhosi were beaten 2-0 by relegated Cape Town Spurs on Saturday afternoon, suffering their 12th defeat of the campaign. They finished five places lower than they did last season under head coach Arthur Zwane. Here are the numbers which show how this was a terrible season for Chiefs.

36 - Before this season, Amakhosi's worst campaign in the PSL era was 2020/21. During that season, they finished in ninth place on 36 points.
25 - This will go down as Chiefs' worst season in front of goal. They scored 25 goals in 30 matches. It's the first time they finished a season with less than 30 goals. They will definitely be in the market to find a striker who can help solve the scoring problems.
12 - Last season, Chiefs hit a new low when they recorded 12 defeats, which was their worst in the PSL era. They've matched that a season later, again showing that there has been no improvement at the club.
10 - The lowest the Soweto giants had ever finished in the Premiership was ninth place on three previous occasions, in 2001/02, 2006/07 and 2018/19. They have now finished in 10th place and management will certainly be looking at how they can make major improvements for next season, to avoid yet another disappointing campaign.
9 - Amakhosi finished the campaign with nine wins. This was only the third time in PSL history that Chiefs failed to register 10 or more victories in a season.
2 - Amakhosi's form in the second half of the season was awful. They registered just two victories in 15 matches. The bottom two clubs, Richards Bay and Cape Town Spurs, registered more wins than Chiefs in the second half of the season. Richards Bay won six times while Spurs managed five victories.
5 - The minus five goal difference Chiefs has is the worst they've recorded in PSL history.
