Chiefs Respond To Reports Of Another Transfer Ban

Kaizer Chiefs have responded to reports claiming that the club could face another transfer ban from FIFA in relation to their former player Teenage Hadebe.

A report in Zimbabwean publication the Sunday News reported that the world football governing body ordered the Soweto giants to pay Chicken Inn R360 000 or face a second transfer ban.

The Amakhosi have since downplayed those reports and claim the club have fulfilled all obligations in Hadebe's transfer six years ago.

Statement:

Kaizer Chiefs note the reports that are making rounds relating to the transfer of Teenage Hadebe.

Some news reports say: "Initially, indications are that Hadebe joined the Turkey club as a free agent. However, it was unearthed that the Arthur Zwane coached-side indeed sold him, albeit for an undisclosed fee."

The Club would like to categorically dismiss the reports as flawed and misleading.

Kaizer Chiefs have fulfilled all the obligations in the transfer of Hadebe.

Hadebe joined Chiefs from Chicken Inn in 2017 but only spent two years in South Africa before making the switch to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor in 2019.

The Soweto giants did serve a transfer ban two years ago over the transfer of Madagascar international Andriamirado Andrianarimanana in 2018.
