Sibongiseni Mthethwa was strongly linked with an exit from Kaizer Chiefs barely a year after joining the club; however, he stayed put. Now Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi has provided an update on the midfielder.
As reported by the Siya crew, talks to send Mthethwa out on loan to Magesi were at an advanced stage.

This is after the player seemingly did not form part of Nabi's plans for the 2024/25 season. But the coach has given 'Ox' a glimmer of hope, stating that he remains part of the 32-man squad.
"We have 32 players and I have respect for all of them. Why do you only ask if Mthethwa is in my plans? We have so many other players," he said.
"We are all part of a group. Mthethwa has good particular qualities, and I don't know, after today maybe he can start in the Sundowns match.
"But I don't want to talk too much about one player, I want to talk about the entire group," he added.
Mthethwa is yet to feature for Chiefs this season; however, he made 20 appearances in all competitions having joined the club from Stellenbosch last season.
