Khanye: Four More Players Chiefs Need To Sign

Kaizer Chiefs have been advised to sign four more players for key positions in coach Nasreddine Nabi's team.

On the weekend, Chiefs confirmed the capture of Gaston Sirino among other latest recruits, much to the delight of ex-Amakhosi star Junior Khanye who has been advocating for the Uruguayan attacker's signing.

Khanye says he would like to see Nabi's team being strengthened with a few more signings, with the Mamelodi Sundowns duo of Sphelele Mkhulise and Rushine De Reuck, Cape Town City's Keanu Cupido and Riaan Hanamub from AmaZulu, among the names on his list.

"Chiefs need to sign more players, and quality players like at Sundowns, we need to be honest about that. But there are proper players at other clubs as well as Cape Town City and so on, and those are the players that Chiefs should go for when signing. For example, Hanamub, the left-back for AmaZulu, is the kind of a player that Chiefs should sign. Cupido, the centre-back for Cape Town City, that's the kind of a player for Chiefs. I believe that Chiefs should have gone straight and signed him," said Khanye, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.

"I know that it's always going to be difficult for Chiefs to sign a player from Sundowns, but they should try and sign Mkhulise because at Sundowns he isn't playing that much. Imagine Mkhulise playing alongside (Samkelo) Zwane in midfield for Chiefs and the kind of difference it would make in improving the team's performances and results. De Reuck is another player that Chiefs should do everything to sign from Sundowns. Those are top class players that could do very well for Chiefs to improve their situation," Khanye added.
