Ahead of their clash against AmaZulu on Wednesday, Kaizer Chiefs star Dumisani Zuma has identified what his side need to do if they are to turn their situation around against Usuthu.
Chiefs will be travelling to Durban, in search of a much-needed three points that could prove vital in turning around the club's dismal start to the season. However, standing in their way is Benni McCarthy's AmaZulu, who are yet to taste defeat under the former Bafana striker.
Speaking ahead of the match, Zuma is under no illusion of his side's current situation but claims that Amakhosi are gunning for maximum points in the Kingdom of the Zulu.
"Everyone knows the situation we are in and it is very important for us to get that win. Everyone is very focused. We've put ourselves in this situation and we need to fight and get ourselves up on the league table. Winning is vital and so is collecting the points available to us," Zuma told Chiefs' official website.
The 25-year-old attacker, who has been working his way back to full fitness, has identified AmaZulu as a tricky opponent and having a new coach at the helm makes them an even tougher prospect.
"From my experience, they are always a difficult opponent to play. Again, they have players and a new coach, so we don't really know much about them. It is going to be a difficult one, but we know if we stick to our philosophy, we will do well."
"We know very well it is hard to play against AmaZulu on their own turf. But we have to believe in ourselves and as we saw last season we scored late when we played them away from home. So, they test you, but you have to stick to your game plan and if you persevere, you can get a positive result," Zuma explained.
Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium.
