Amakhosi's evaluation of the attacker's performance and contribution, is understood to play a significant role in the club's decision-making process.
"His chances of staying at the club and extending his contract are almost 90% as things stand now. What the club has said is that they have looked at his past two seasons and how he performed, compared to the seven games he has played this season due to injury. That's what they are basing their decision on," an insider informed the Siya crew.
"They say if he is fit, he is an asset to the team and his contract will be based on the past two seasons which gives him the chance to renew his deal. So for now, we can say that there is light at the end of the tunnel for Dolly," the source added.
Indications are that ongoing negotiations and the club's intentions suggest that Amakhosi see Dolly as a crucial asset moving forward, with talks likely to be leaning towards a contract extension.

Siya sources have revealed that Dolly's experience and leadership qualities are also valued, particularly in the context of potentially losing other senior players.
"The club wants to have at least two or three senior players in the team, but those talks are still ongoing."
It is understood that the 31-year-old's rack record over the past seasons, despite limited game-time, underscores his importance to the team.
Attempts were made by the Siya crew to contact the club's management, but were unsuccessful at the time of publishing.
