Disappointed Junior Khanye Weighs In On Joseph Molangoane Kaizer Chiefs Exit

A former Kaizer Chiefs star has expressed his disappointment in the club's decision to part ways with Joseph 'Tight' Molangoane.

As Molangoane's contract expired at the end of June, the Soweto giants opted not to renew it – a decision that has seemingly not sit well with ex-Amakhosi midfielder Junior Khanye.

"Tight Molangoane is a very good player. Well, he is not the best player in South Africa but compared to some of the players at Chiefs for example Philani Zulu how can you extend Zulu's contract and let Molangoane go? How many games this season that Zulu has he been in the 18 (matchday squad)? He hadn't been in the 18 for some time (before the PSL break)," he said.

"Molangoane scored against Pirates in the derby – that means a lot. He did well before he got the injury. Chiefs shouldn't have let him go. You cannot allow Molangoane to go and leave Zulu behind, it doesn't make sense. Yes, maybe the injury affected him but we know what he can do. Yes, he is not a star player but he did well for Chiefs before the injury," the Daveyton-born player added.
