Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho is believed to have attracted interest from a couple of clubs in the topflight amid talk of an exit from Naturena at the end of the season.
Indications from sources are that TS Galaxy are considering a move for the former Bafana Bafana international, who is said to be on the verge of parting ways with Amakhosi when his contract expires at the end of June.
The lanky player is currently the second longest-serving member of the current Chiefs squad, but this season has found himself completely on the periphery of Arthur Zwane's side.
The Siya crew has been informed that the Rockets are in the market for a central defender, with Given Msimango expected to go the other way.
It's understood that Msimango has signed a four-year deal with the Naturena-based outfit, as reported by Soccer Laduma, and in turn, Galaxy are looking at securing the services of a defender to strengthen the rear-guard after a difficult campaign which sees them sitting just outside the Top Eight.
Mathoho, who is capped 34 times for the national team, is believed to be keen on seeing out his last few years on the field as a regular, although he is aware that is unlikely to be at Chiefs.
Having served the Glamour Boys with distinction for the past 11 years, after joining from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2012, he looks set to follow the likes of Bernard Parker and Daniel Cardoso – two of the club's longest-serving players, out the door at Naturena.
The defender, who turned 33 last month, has featured just once for the Soweto giants this season.
