Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson says he would love to be the person that ends Chiefs' nine-year trophy drought.

When Chiefs last won a trophy in the 2014/15 season, Johnson was still the head coach of Platinum Stars, where he had delivered one piece of silverware after the other.
Now, the 65-year-old finds himself on the Amakhosi bench, roped in after the club parted ways with Molefi Ntseki, who himself was a replacement for Arthur Zwane.
The ongoing trophy drought has been a thorn in the side of a club who were known as cup specialists, with the last piece of silverware gracing the club's cabinet almost a decade ago.
But Johnson harbours plans of being the one to bring an end to the club's dry spell.
"Personally, it would mean the world to me. I think Kaizer Chiefs and the massive following that we have, it will be huge. And yes, I think any club in the PSL puts a lot of emphasis on any trophy. I don't think we are different to any other club. I don't think any coach who has worked here before has put emphasis on saying, 'I'd like to win this trophy. I'd like to win that trophy,' he told journalists at a press conference at the PSL headquarters on Thursday.
"I think any coach who works at any club, whatever trophies are available, we want to win. It doesn't work like that, but if I was here from the beginning then I would say guys there's four trophies on offer. I want to win them all four. And when you have a big following like this club has and a big institution like this club is and for sure we want to win all the trophies, and this is the last one that's on offer. Let's hope Sundowns lose 5 games in the league. Then we have a chance in the league as well. But in saying that, no disrespect to Sundowns as well.
"In saying that realistically this is the only one that's on offer for all of us and it's the start of the competition we put in all our emphasis on this particular competition and it's this Sunday and we're going to play the best we can for this trophy, as long as we can."
