The 2022 eKasi Champ of Champs tournament top goal scorer contracted to Pretoria Callies, has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Kaizer Chiefs after the club made discreet enquiries about the midfielder.
Mpho Mlangeni was the standout performer in the eKasi Champs of Champs in the colours of Chipolopolo FC, scoring four goals to attract interest from Chiefs.
However, as reported by the Siya crew, Motsepe Foundation Championship side Callies have placed a R1 million price tag on the signature of Mlangeni, who mesmerised defenders throughout the eKasi Champs of Champs tournament in Soweto.
"Chiefs is a big team with big expectations, so for me to be linked with such a team, is an honour. And the fact that my club Callies thinks I'm worth R1 million, that has given me self-motivation as I never thought I would be worth so much," Mlangeni told the Siya crew.
"My performances through the tournament showed what I am capable of doing, my talent and work hard, so with Chiefs even showing interest shows that I am ready to play in the DStv Premiership, not Chiefs per say but in the Premiership, as that is my dream.
"I pray to God he makes the move possible to Chiefs as I don't think there is any player out there who wouldn't want to play for Chiefs, Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns. But I am still contracted to Callies and I have to respect that and give my all in the upcoming season, which is my last year at Callies."
