Kaizer Chiefs have qualified for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after securing a 2-2 draw away to Horoya on Saturday night.
Chiefs made three changes from the draw with Stellenbosch, as shot-stopper Itumeleng Khune and Khama Billiat were recalled in places of the suspended Daniel Akpeyi and Samir Nurkovic while Njabulo Blom started ahead of Willard Katsande.
With Chiefs needing a score draw or a win to progress, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo came close to giving Amakhosi the lead in the 11th minute with a snap shot from the edge of the box that sailed narrowly wide.
Yakhouba Gnagna Barry had an opportunity of his own for Horoya seven minutes later but his powerful header sailed just over the crossbar after some good work by Alseny Camara.
The hosts began to pile on the pressure as the half progressed, with Salif Coulibaly nearly getting the breakthrough for the hosts on the half-hour mark with a glancing header that missed the post by a whisker.
Chiefs' resistance eventually gave out on the stroke of halftime when Barry nodded home a cross from Sebe Baffour to put the hosts in control for the quarter-final spot.
Hunt made a tactical change at half-time, bringing on Lazarous Kambole in place Happy Mashiane and Horoya had a big chance to go 2-0 up two minutes from the break after Mandela Ocansey beat the offside trap to go one-on-one with Khune but he blasted his first-time strike over the bar.
The Soweto giants got out of their defensive shell in the 65th minute after Dumisani Zuma replaced Lebogang Manyama, with the substitute winning Chiefs a penalty, which Daniel Cardoso converted to level matters.
However, the visitors' celebrations were short-lived, as Sekou Camara restored the lead for Horoya with a close range header at the back post after Khune misjudged the fight of the ball from a corner.
Hunt's men were fired up as Billiat levelled matters in the last 14 minutes with a first-time side-footed shot into the bottom corner after a cut-back by Zuma.
Khune made a stunning save in second-half stoppage time to keep out a volley from Morlaye Sylla as the Glamour Boys held on for a 2-2 draw that saw them qualify as runners-up in the group.
