FRIDAY DEBATE: Pirates Dominate In Soweto Derby Predictions

'Pirates have been doing well'

Lebohang Mokoena - former Pirates midfielder

Looking at the past five results, it has all gone to Chiefs and I think Pirates will be looking to get ahead on this one. I predict Pirates for the win and I think they will win it 2-1. I think Pirates will be a threat for Chiefs because they are on a run of good form and they are high on confidence. I know that it goes out the window in a derby match because sometimes it just takes one moment of individual brilliance to change the result. Pirates have been doing well with (Terrence) Dzvukamanja getting on the score sheet and Saleng being a threat. But I think they would want to turn this around because of their results against Chiefs in recent times. I am giving it to Pirates because of their good run. They have also been solid defensively and the Chiefs attack hasn't had much creativity in the last few games. The Buccaneers will take this one.

'Pirates have a good attack, but...'

Vincent Rammoni - Dondol Stars coach

I think Chiefs will win this one 2-1, but the game is going to go to extra time. Chiefs has many players that have high load of endurance capacity and that can compensate a lot in difficult situation. Pirates have a good attack, but they can't last long as they don't have a high endurance capacity and don't like high intensity game. Chiefs is going to dominate in most part of the field.

'It's a strange game'

Andrew Rabutla - former Jomo Cosmos defender

It's difficult to predict when those two teams play. It's a strange game, but one thing for sure is that Pirates are organised. I watched Chiefs in Polokwane for three games in succession and you can see that they are changing positions. Pirates are also changing, but they are consistent. They are organised and they have discipline. It's not going to be easy for Chiefs to be Pirates, even though I know it's difficult to predict when these two teams play. But looking at how Pirates are playing at the moment, I think they are the better team to win the game on Saturday. They are well organised in all departments. Pirates players are respecting the game. I am happy with how well organised they are. You can see what they are doing. I can put my money on Pirates for this one. I am telling you, we will see a different game on Saturday.
