The story

It was a good weekend for South Africa's overseas-based stars who ply their trade in North Africa and Europe, for a number of reasons.

Starting with Bafana Bafana winger Mokwana, who plays for Esperance Tunis in Tunisia. On Sunday, 'Kideo' helped Esperance claim the Tunisian Super Cup.

The 25-year-old scored the opening goal in the 59th minute in a 2-0 over Stade Tunisien at the Stade Olympique Hammadi in Rades.

Former SuperSport United youngster, Campbell made his long-awaited debut for Club Brugge on Saturday during a 2-2 draw against Sint-Truidense V.V. in the Belgian Pro League.

The SA Under-20 baller, who was recently promoted to the first team from the reserves Club NXT, was brought on as a late substitute in the 85th minute.

Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Ngezana helped FCSB retain top spot in the Romanian SuperLiga and keep a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Gloria Buzau.

Playing in harsh, snowy conditions, the former Kaizer Chiefs star and academy product played a role in FCSB's second goal in the encounter and to celebrate the goal, he started a snowball fight with his teammates.

Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns forward Mailula continued his red hot form with Wydad AC by opening the scoring in their dominant 5-1 win over SCC Mohammédia on Sunday in the Botola Pro 1.

Although Rulani Mokwena was absent from the touchlines due to attending to a family bereavement, Mailula was able to do repay the faith shown in him with his eighth goal contribution since joining the Moroccan side.

Mihlali Mayambele netted his third league goal of the season, helping Aris Limassol to secure 3-0 win over Anorthosis on Saturday.

Limassol now find themselves in second place on Cypriot League table, closing the gap to six points behind leaders, Pafos.
