The story

A devoted Manchester United supporters group in Uganda organised a prayer session in support of the club's new head coach, Ruben Amorim.

The fan club, known as the Iganga Manchester United Fans Initiative has gone viral on a number of occasions this year for cult-like following on Man United, with goalkeeper Andre Onana receiving a heroes welcome when Cameroon visited Kampala for 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

Amorim got his first win against Bodo/Glimt as Manchester United's manager to begin his Old Trafford revolution on a positive note, as he prepares for Thursday's Europa League clash.

United experienced a frustrating 1-1 draw at Ipswich on Sunday in Amorim's first match in charge since taking over early November, following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag.

In a video shared on Twitter/X and TikTok, the Ugandan Red Devils were seen fully immersed in prayer, showcasing their steadfast dedication to the club and their backing of Amorim.

They also used the prayer gathering to conduct a welcome parade for the ex-Sporting Lisbon head coach. Watch below:
