Former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko was recently playing for Roma against Sassuolo on Wednesday when robbers allegedly targeted his house in Rome.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the striker's wife and kids were inside the house at the time of the burglary.
The criminals reportedly got away with €500 (R7 500) in cash as well as some luxury items, such as some of his wife's designer bags.
Police are investigating the case.
