A high-profile coach with elevated taste in fashion, just like Pep Guardiola, Rulani Mokwena takes his matchday 'fits seriously.

During their inaugural AFL final, second-leg at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, the Downs head coach rocked an all-black look with a baggy short-sleeve shirt and fitted cargo pants, with high-end kicks.

Rulani wore the Louis Vuitton Match Up Black Damier sneakers. The kicks are both sleek and timeless, making them the ideal footwear addition to the 36-year-old's ensemble.

According to CourtOrder, who value the sneakers at almost R10 000, the shoes is designed to be durable and long-lasting, making them the ideal kicks for Rulani to wear when he paces up and down the technical area during matches.

The kicks stand out for their classic LV Damier print on the sides, a print that's seen on many Louis Vuitton bags, with the leather stunners going for over R14 700 on reseller site StockX

Popular football photographer Vino Snap captured Rulani's drip and shared it on Instagram:

This season, Rulani's matchday looks have switched between casual and sporty.

During Sundowns' visit to Al Ahly, where his men drew 0-0 on the night but progressed to the African Football League final with a narrow 1-0 aggregate win, Rulani was styled in a plain light beige round neck sweater with a black DSquared2 pants, and a pair of black Saint Laurent low-top leather sneakers.

The black leather kicks with touches of gold cost around R12 988. Similar to the LV kicks, Rulani's YSL shoes have a soft leather upper with a stern but comfortable sole.

Mokwena has set the bar high for the other coaches in the DStv Premiership with his pitch-side attire this season. He confidently wears what he finds comfortable and also trendy.

His usage of cargo pants might be Pep-inspired but Rulani has added his own flair with his high level kicks, alternating between luxury and PUMA's most hip sneakers.
