Yeye: PSL Title Over The World Cup

Yeye: PSL Title Over The World Cup

Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend Reneilwe Letsholonyane.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane revealed why he wouldn't exchange one of his DStv Premiership titles for any other trophy, even a World Cup!

Check it out.

What's the story?

Kaizer Chiefs legend Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane shockingly revealed why he wouldn't exchange one of his league titles for a World Cup winners medal.

Yeye was interviewed on "The Bettor Pod" by Lorenz Köhler, where he opened up about the journey of his illustrious career, which included a couple of league titles for Amakhosi and a World Cup appearance in 2010.

Let's take a closer look...

Yeye: PSL title over World Cup crown

Former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs midfield general Reneilwe Letsholonyane recently sat down to speak about his career journey on 10Bet's "The Bettor Pod".

As someone who has walked away with two DStv Premiership titles with the club he supported as a boy, Kaizer Chiefs, Yeye mentioned that he's content with how his career turned out, achieving his main football goals.

Yeye is so content with his career achievements, to the point where he wouldn't even exchange one of his league titles for a World Cup crown!

When asked if he would trade his 2014/15 league title with Chiefs for a World Cup, here's how Yeye responded:

"No, I would not. The reason we play football is to dominate the domestic leagues and when you get an opportunity not every team will get a chance or will have a shot of winning it. So when you eat it, it's a huge thing. And then because that's the space I was in at that time, it's an achievement.

"So, I will not really trade being a domestic champion for a World Cup," he added.

In all fairness to Yeye, that 2014/15 Kaizer Chiefs side was formidable, winning the league with 21 wins, six draws and a mere three losses.

Yeye also rates his good friend and former teammate at Chiefs and Bafana, Siphiwe Tshabalala over Manchester City and Ivorian legend Yaya Toure:
