Zidane for Palace x Adidas Y3
In a collection and campaign that beautifully blends football, skateboarding and contemporary streetwear, Zidane linked up with French skateboarder Lucas Puig to front Palace's latest collaboration with Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto's brand Y3.
The capsule collection reimagines stand-out pieces from the Adidas Team Geist collection from 2006, using designs from the Adidas jerseys at the time and the Team Geist ball, which was also used in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
The significance of Zidane being in this campaign is that Adidas and Palace use design templates from 2006, the French legend's last year as a professional footballer.
In a charming, wholesome and slightly comedic campaign film, Zizou and Palace skateboarder Puig, share their admiration for each other's sports and paid homage to legendary Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.

The short film sees Zizou effortlessly hop on a skateboard and explain to Puig how he grew up skating and playing football as a child in Marseille.
Take a look:
The collection features classic adidas Original tracksuits with Palace and Y3 branding on them, and other streetwear staples such as bucket hats, bomber jackets, hoodies, caps, sneakers, puffer windbreakers, a crew neck sweater, and Team Geist jersey that appears to take inspiration from the Japanese flag.
