With Kegan Johannes edging closer to making his Mamelodi Sundowns debut, the utility defender dwelled on his tough spell on the sidelines.
Johannes was unable to see out the remainder of last season, having suffered a leg injury that required surgery for the 23-year-old.
The former SA U-23 captain impressed for SuperSport United, making 65 appearance for Gavin Hunt's men in all competitions and once he fully bounces back, he'll have to grind to earn minutes under Manqoba Mngqithi.
"After a challenging journey, I'm finally back on my feet. Each setback taught me resilience, and every small win has fueled my determination," wrote the Ajax Cape Town youth product.
"This is just the beginning, here's to embracing every moment of progress and looking forward to what's next," he added in his IG post caption, sharing a video of his rehabilitation process.
Johannes also wrote on his IG story: "I may be bruised but I'm not broken. Overcoming obstacles one step at a time. Injuries don't stop me, they motivate me. [I'm] finding strength in my struggle."
